Martin Brockman 

This webinar will introduce the fundamentals of Track and Field Athletics, including principal running, jumping, and throwing events. It offers up-to-date technical guidance alongside creative teaching methods for school athletics. Participants will learn how to identify and correct common errors, as well as recognise skills that transfer across different events. The session is ideal for teachers of Athletics and those delivering these events within GCSE PE.

Meet your course leader, Martin Brockman

former international decathlete

Martin Brockman represented Great Britain in the decathlon for almost a decade, culminating in winning a bronze medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi and gold at the 2011 European Team Championships. With over 15 years of experience in coaching from grass-roots athletics to junior international athletes, he was the head of athlete development at the world-renowned Aspire Academy in Doha before creating Brockman Athletics where he develops teaching resources for schools and delivers bespoke CPD workshops to international schools all around the world.
