British Gymnastics Course for Teachers - Trampolining Level One

Course Description

This Award is recognised as the industry standard qualification for teaching Trampolining in schools. It is suitable for teachers and teaching assistants who hold Qualified Teacher Status or a recognised formal qualification, as well as those working towards these requirements. Successful completion provides recognised accreditation to deliver appropriate Trampolining skills safely within the school environment. Level One enables teachers to set up and handle trampolines safely, while developing the knowledge and confidence to teach fundamental skills up to, but excluding, somersaults. All courses are delivered by British Gymnastics approved tutors.

  • Principles of jump, rotation, twist and shape
  • Jumping, stopping and shaped jumps
  • Half and full twist
  • Seat, hand and knees landings
  • Twisting skills
  • Half twist to front, back feet and seat landings
