Developing Culture in School Rugby

With Simon Mullholland

Webinar

Course Description

This new, and unique, webinar will share practical strategies and real-world experiences from high-performing school Rugby programmes, in both New Zealand and the UK. It will explore how coaches can intentionally build culture, establish high standards, develop genuine player ownership and create environments where young people thrive both on and off the field.  It is based on the premise that culture is not built through slogans or values displayed on walls, but through the behaviours leaders model, the standards teams uphold every day and the conversations that take place when nobody is watching. Sustained success comes when every person within a programme understands their role, feels valued, and is committed to something greater than themselves.

  • Intentional culture-building
  • Leading with care
  • Normalising high standards
  • Developing genuine player ownership
  • Lessons from the New Zealand pathway
  • Creating environments where players feel connected, valued and accountable
  • Building pride in the jersey
  • Establishing a legacy of people development
