Physical education is at a historic crossroads. With the new national curriculum on the horizon, for first teaching in September 2028, the rollout of the enhanced PE and school sport network and the embedding of the statutory enrichment framework, the subject is being radically redefined. The challenge for schools is to translate national policy into transformative and impactful change within
each unique school community. This year’s Conference will enable Heads of PE to achieve clarity of purpose and direction and to effectively lead transition in their own setting.
