Jack Rolfe

Jack Rolfe is the Founder of The Coaching Lab and UPskill, two organisations helping schools transform the way they develop coaches, teachers and sports staff. Originally from the UK and now based in Australia, Jack works with schools, clubs and governing bodies around the world to create better sporting experiences through practical, games-based coach development.
His work has taken him from supporting the design of training practices for the England Men’s National Football Team to working alongside Premier League academies, independent schools, National Governing Bodies and community sport organisations. His MatchPlay Cards are now used in more than 75 countries, helping coaches create engaging, player-centred learning environments.
Jack specialises in supporting Directors of Sport, Heads of PE and coaching teams to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing independent schools today, developing academic staff who coach, creating consistency across large coaching workforces, improving pupil engagement and embedding games-based learning into everyday practice.
His workshops combine research, real-world experience and practical strategies that coaches and teachers can apply immediately. Passionate about ensuring that great sporting experiences are created by design rather than by chance, Jack's sessions are interactive, thought-provoking and challenge traditional approaches to coaching, learning and player development.
