The Co-Curriculum remains the principal point of difference for independent schools, despite growing economic pressures. It is central to both the educational provision and the business case of the sector. These combine to make the leadership of the co-curriculum more important than it has ever been.
The National Conference for Leaders of the Co-Curriculum – the longest established, and biggest, assembly of this constituency – exists for two purposes. The first is to help clarify the impact of activities beyond the classroom. The second is to enhance the technical knowledge of the leaders, in order to better inform their strategy and operations. With efficiency and economy more significant then ever, it is vital to understand and prioritise what can be achieved, and be able to measure the outcomes.
Through a combination of thought-leadership, science and case studies, the morning programme seeks to inform, inspire and educate, enabling co-curricular leaders to consider both possibility and best practice. The afternoon seminar programme allows a choice of topics most relevant to each school’s issues and environment.
As always, the event will provide opportunities for discussion and networking with like-minded professionals, all within a genial and reflective environment.
