    In association with
    Lydia Greenways Cricket for Girls

In 2025/26 Girls’ Cricket continues its rapid growth within school sport. The demand on school coaches has also increased with many coaches under pressure to develop their knowledge and understanding of Girls’ Cricket. Coaching girls requires different approaches and new ideas of modern day practice, whether they are beginners or experienced players.

The playing level of Girls’ Cricket in schools is also on a steep upward trajectory with many girls now playing pathway cricket, county cricket and a select few on the international stage. The playing standards have never been so strong, which presents new opportunities and challenges for schools to grow the game, compete and integrate with national developments.

This conference will provide a unique opportunity for leaders of Girls’ Cricket to ensure that they are at the forefront of the development of the game – to upskill and development their knowledge of Girls’ cricket both on and off the field. The leading coaches of the women’s game will demonstrate contemporary technical and tactical content, but also how this can best be presented to female players. Developments around the game, and the emerging opportunities that they provide, will also be presented.

This is a collaboration with Cricket for Girls, an innovative organisation created by Lydia Greenway OBE who specialises in the coaching Girls’ cricket to young aspiring players; as well as the MCC discussing new strategic engagements with school fixtures and players development.
