    This course is designed for experienced coaches of school Sevens who want to keep track of the latest trends in the international game. It includes detailed video analysis of top teams, focusing on what strategies are working right now and how these teams develop their playing styles. The course will cover modern tactics and training techniques, and show how these can be adapted to make school teams more successful.

    Mike Friday

    Mike Friday was the Head Coach of USA Eagles for ten years from 2014 to 2024.  This includes three Olympic Games, most recently in Paris. During this time, they became a core team in the World Rugby Sevens Series, finishing 2nd in 2019. He had previously led England to victory in the Hong Kong sevens, Commonwealth Games silver medal and World Series second place. During his short tenure as Head Coach of Kenya, they achieved an unprecedented 5th place in the world and a World series final. He is described by ‘The Guardian’ as “a professor of the shortened game”.
