Educational Visits Co-ordinators Update Training

Face to face Prep and Primary School Senior and Secondary School Outdoor Education Seminar Programme Qualification

Course Description

This course is based on the National Guidance provided by the Outdoor Education Advisers’ Panel (OEAP), by whom it is certificated. The price is inclusive of certification fees. Learning outside the classroom has always been an important component of education. The EVC’s role is to help the school fulfil its Health and Safety obligations for off-site school visits by being involved in the planning and management of all educational visits. Practice and procedures in safety management are ever-changing. The issues faced by school EVCs change over time and, although EVC training does not formally lapse, it is recommended good practice for EVCs to revalidate their award by attending update training. Many organisations include a three-year requirement for EVC revalidation.
