Deliver the RFU’s new non-contact version of the game, T1
The RFU has introduced a new, standardised form of non-contact Rugby for schools and clubs. It is called T1, and is being adopted across the country as the usual version of touch Rugby.
In order to enable girls’ schools, with no previous experience, to deliver this, the RFU is offering FREE certificated training. This is suitable for teachers and coaches who have no previous experience of delivering Rugby at all. The game is suitable for inclusion within a PE curriculum and/or as a co-curricular activity.
Participants will receive:
- RFU-delivered training on how to teach, coach and referee T1
- Resources to enable a block of lessons to be delivered, within or beyond the curriculum
- An RFU Certificate
- A game suitable for all ages from 10-18
- Balls and equipment to enable schools to deliver the game
- An invitation to a future T1 Festival for girls delivered by RFU in association with GSA.
This course runs from 1pm to 3.30pm at St Helen and St Katharine School in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. There will be a theory session, followed by light practical work and is led by Clarissa Jackson-Murphy, RFU Coach Developer.
All delegates will receive certificated training, lesson resources and free equipment.
