Hockey for Under 13s and younger is played 7-a side, making this a key stage for building a strong foundation in basic skills and game awareness. While many techniques mirror those of the full game, the smaller pitch size requires a different tactical approach. This shortened format also offers a chance to introduce important tactical elements from the full game, including strategies for long corners, hits around the circle, and the self-pass.
