This specialist course is designed for Prep school teachers involved in coaching Age Grade Rugby, from the introduction of contact skills at Under 9 through to the Under 12 game. It provides a clear understanding of how the laws and expectations develop across each age group, together with guidance on refereeing school matches at different stages of player development. The course also focuses on effective coaching approaches within the school environment, helping players of all ages and abilities build confidence, overcome apprehension and enjoy developing their skills and decision-making. With a strong emphasis on safe and contemporary coaching practices, delegates will explore the latest approaches to teaching the tackle, contact area and scrum, ensuring they can deliver Rugby confidently and effectively.
