Course Description

This course is based on the National Guidance provided by the Outdoor Education Advisers’ Panel (OEAP), by whom it is certificated. The price is inclusive of certification fees.

Learning outside the classroom has always been an important component of education. The EVC’s role is to help the school fulfil its Health and Safety obligations for off-site school visits by being involved in the planning and management of all educational visits. Practice and procedures in safety management are ever-changing. The issues faced by school EVCs change over time and, although EVC training does not formally lapse, it is recommended good practice for EVCs to revalidate their award by attending update training. Many organisations include a three-year requirement for EVC revalidation.

Meet your course leader, Paul Bond

Paul Bond is an accredited trainer for the Royal Geographical Society's Educational Visits Coordinator training. He has been a board member and Regional Chair of London & South East Region of the Outdoor Education Advisers Panel, and is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Association. He has over 40 years experience in the statutory and voluntary sector in outdoor education and adventure together with a range of National Health and Safety Awards. He is the Managing Director of Foundation Expedition Leadership (FEL) CIC, a not for profit community interest company that provides educational visits advice.

: Cancellations require a minimum of 14 days' notice. Cancelling within 14 days of the event incurs a fee, £30 per person for online courses and webinars, or £100 per person (per day, for multi-day events) for in-person courses. Cancelling within 48 hours of the event is charged at the full price. If ICE Education has to cancel or change a course, we'll try to rebook you onto the same or a similar course, if that's not possible, you'll be refunded in full.

: Recordings of webinars remain available to book attendees for 48 hours after the live session, after which they're no longer accessible.
