Effective coaching requires a varied range of practices that are both engaging and relevant to the modern game. This course is designed to help teachers and coaches refresh their coaching repertoire by introducing contemporary drills and progressive training activities. An extensive range of practices will be presented to develop all the core skills before building towards more advanced techniques through structured practices.

Matt Taylor

Matt Taylor is the Head Coach of Nottingham University, who won the BUCS championships in 2014-15, 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24. He was previously head coach of Beeston HC in the Men’s Premier Division, winning three championships between 2010-2014. He has also helped developed 80+ junior players gain presentative honours for the National Age Squads as well as having coached 45+ senior Internationals. As a player Matt won seven Championship titles with Cannock HC.
