Effective Coaching of Attack and Defence in Schools

This year’s Conference will be delivered by Noeline Taurua, Head Coach of the World Number Two team, New Zealand. She will demonstrate how essential attack and defence skills and strategies are delivered in her national programme, and adapt these principles for adoption by school teams.

Noeline Taurua

Noeline Taurua is the current Head Coach of the Silver Ferns – the New Zealand national Netball team, and is in her 8th year in this role. In 2019 the Silver Ferns were crowded World Champions for the first time in 16 years. In the 2020 New Year Honours, Noeline became only the third Netballer ever to be awarded a Dame Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit (DNZM). As a player, she played in the 1995 World Cup and 1998 Commonwealth Games for the Silver Ferns.
